In Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai – Another Road, the story takes place in an alternate timeline where Majin Buu was never fully defeated, and the world has fallen into chaos under the rule of Majin-controlled forces.

You play primarily as Future Trunks, who returns from his dystopian future to once again save Earth. In this new timeline, Babidi and Majin Buu have unleashed destruction, and Trunks must gather allies from across the Dragon Ball Z universe—like Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Piccolo, and more—to fight back.

The story mode features branching paths and decision-making, where your choices influence battles, allies, and even the ending. As you progress, you face off against powerful enemies including Majin versions of classic characters and entirely new scenarios created just for the game.

It’s a mix of strategic overworld movement and intense 1v1 3D battles, all set in a fast-paced, action-packed alternate DBZ storyline that blends familiar characters with original plot twists.
