The story of Killzone 3 picks up immediately after the events of Killzone 2. The Helghast dictator, Scolar Visari, has been killed, leaving the ISA forces stranded on the hostile planet of Helghan. Despite the victory, the ISA faces overwhelming odds as the Helghast, now united under new leadership, launch a relentless counterattack to crush the remaining ISA forces.

Players take on the role of Sergeant Tomas “Sev” Sevchenko, a battle-hardened soldier of the ISA. Along with his comrades, Sev must fight for survival against the technologically advanced and ruthless Helghast forces. The Helghast army, driven by vengeance and equipped with powerful new weapons and vehicles, poses a greater threat than ever before.

As Sev and his team struggle to escape from Helghan, they uncover dark secrets about the Helghast’s plans and technology, including devastating new weapons of mass destruction. The journey takes them through a variety of environments, from frozen wastelands to dense jungles, as they battle against overwhelming odds in a desperate bid for survival.
